First he says that he puts three “blue-paper” into three balls. But he doesn’t. He just puts two of them into two balls, but what about third spectator?

Following picture depicts that he is just pretending to put the third one into the ball. He just slips down the paper into the other hand:

So, we can see here that the stochaticity is irrelevant again!!! One of the spectators must be his assistant. But who is he/she? The answer is: the first one “The Woman”

Then he asks the woman to check his pulse. He could stop his pulse or not. It’s optional. It has a medical trick. After that demonstration, he asks the woman to sit anywhere she likes. So, the prediction of where three spectators must be, has been easily solved i.e. we can know that where they sit. The place of the woman is very important. Since she should easily manipulate the handle and pedal to make changes and see the screen to be ordered well and hide her hands, she sits back on off-stage spectator. You need to have a very special background. So, the woman’s jacket and pants are all black. Now we know that she is the operator of the “The Tables and Chairs” mechanism.

 

We can see along the performance that all of the predictions and vanishings are according to the woman’s stuff. While the chairs are moving and jumping and the tables are shaking just look at the woman’s posture. Note that one glass couldn’t move out of its designed direction for the sake of physical possibilities. The mechanism is about 10000$.

After the big show of “Aref Gafouri” young Iranian magic performer on “Show TV” channel, I saw on some blogs and websites pertinent to Turkey, Iran, some Arab countries and some Turkish-spoken countries discussing about this young magician. Some were eager to know how he could able to know to read people’s mind or maybe he forces his idea into them. After all, I decided to reveal the trick. I appreciate his dexterity, skill of using mystifying words and quivering of his hands, but he is far away from the perfection of a skillful magician.

Let’s start revealing…

The stage design is a very important factor. Particularly in this performance. First of all, you need 4000$. You need to purchase a box, a table, a board and a marker. These stuffs are called “Master Prediction System” which you can find it at http://www.wellingtonent.com/. The system has been devised by “D*ck Zimmerman” for the first time and it ‘s been improved several times by famous magicians. For the first time I’ve seen it in the Criss Angel’s “Race Winner Prediction” performance. It looks like following figure:

He ask the jury to utter any word or number, which identify  fly information such as where, seat ID and take-off time. He claims that he’s already anticipated their information and put them in a box. But he has not. The box is empty. After writing the information on the board, he needs some time to make his  “prediction(!)” possible. So he passes a newspaper to one of the jury and asks her to toss it randomly. Then one of the spectators catches and tears it apart and gives one of pieces to the other spectator. The spectator (girl) is asked to come on the stage. “Aref” by this is trying to say that all of his acts is according to stochasticity. But stochasticity will not change the consequence. At the stage he asks the girl to close her eyes and choose one of tiny pieces of paper, then he immediately gets the tiny piece from her hands and changes it from own one. At this moment, although quivering of his hands is very nice, this act nicely gives the trick away. This technique is called “HAND-BY-HAND-TO-HAND-BY-HAND”. Another secret is behind choosing the paper. The tiny piece has been chosen carefully by magician, i.e. its words have been curiously chosen to face the girl with a single word that is possible: “KADER” which means destiny. You can see this technique is shown in the following picture:

So, we can easily see that randomness is irrelevant. Now, you can understand the DVD prediction. At this interval “Master Prediction System” does what it should do. Of course he has a backstage assistant. Aref ‘s assistant writes the fly information on a long sheet which can be placed into a tube in the box. The girl must not see the surface of the table. He didn’t allow the girl to see inside the box, because the box itself contains several tricks.  He put the newspaper on the table and in time of placing box on the table, he removes it. But, how does this mechanism work?

Just think about the connection between the box, the tube-like paper, the table parts, and the newspaper on the table, the board, the marker, the rope and where the end of rope and the table are…
